In 2006, I worked at the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab. I designed and built motion modules for the Pico Cricket Kit using Lego blocks. The Pico cricket is a small computer that can be attached to sensors, motors, lights, and speakers and be programmed with a visual programming language. It is designed for children to create artistic objects with lights, sounds, an motion.
I prototyped 8 motion modules and created building instructions for 9 total motion modules. They can be found on the Pico Cricket web site here
